Reports he is approaching his 70th birthday; that he is weak and has resigned from travelling, but still manages 5-6 hours work a day. Comments that he is "considered a celebrity, writers and philosophers who pass through Vienna, call on me to have a talk, the Jews all over the world boast of my name pairing me with Einstein."

Informs of news within the family: Dolphi is in Bad Ischl, Austria, nursing Grandma; Rosa [Regina Graf] and Pauli are very poor and receive their help; Rose Beatrice is expecting another child; Anna [Bernays] and three of her girls live in Vienna with their families and are dependent on inheritance from their father, Eli.

Reports unstable situation for all of his three sons. Anna is doing very well as a pedagogic analyst in America, has made a name for herself with her literary work and is a member of the Psychoanalytical Association.
