Biographical History

Leeds Academic Assistance Committee was founded in 1933 by John Harry Jones, Professor of Economics, and others, to collect funds for the support of academic refugees from Nazi Germany.

Gift of the School of Economic Studies through its Chairman, May 1979

Scope and Content

Comprises a minute book, bank statements, cheque books, a card index file, and the Society's fourth report, November 1938
