This collection consists of copy papers which document Josef Mengele's early life and career in the SS and also his life in exile in South America.

System of Arrangement

The collection is arranged into three sub-groups: copy material, the originals of which are in held in the Berlin Document Centre. (these include such items as Mengele's war record, cv, and material relating to his marriage); copy material mostly written by Mengele and copy material about Mengele
