Biographical History

The Central British Fund was established in the aftermath of the boycott of Jewish businesses in Germany on April 1 1934 at a meeting between Lionel Rothschild and Simon Marks when it was agreed to raise money to provide assistance for German Jews arriving in Great Britain.
