Biographical History

Working as freelance employee for The Wiener Library’s eyewitness testimony project, Emmi Moravitz conducted interviews with Jewish and Roma survivors of Nazi persecution in Austria.

Scope and Content

Containing letters by The Wiener Library exclusively the correspondence documents the activities of Moravitz and the Library’s processing of the eyewitness accounts gathered by her. The involvement of Herman Langbein, Holocaust survivor and International Auschwitz Committee representative, in the eyewitness project and the work of Moravitz is also briefly mentioned.
