Biographical History
The Monumenta Judaica was an exhibition on Jewish history in the Rhine era. Under patronage of West Germany’s president Heinrich Lübke it was displayed in Cologne from 1963-64. Scope and Content
Correspondence regarding The Wiener Library’s involvement in the organisation and display of the Monumenta Judaica exhibition in Cologne. This included the provision of research support as well as several items for display. Beside letters newspaper cuttings, lists of the items provided by The Wiener Library, a respective insurance certificate, an official invitation card and flyer, a transcript of an address given by the president of the West German parliament at the exhibition’s opening and a related German press survey are contained.
