Biographical History

James P. McGaughey was a former member of the U.S. Army and veteran of the Second World War.

Scope and Content

Claiming to be in possession of Adolf Hitler’s leather writing portfolio and two of his calling cards, McGaughy offers to place them on deposit at The Wiener Library. Enclosed is a carbon copy of the portfolio’s surface pattern.
