Biographical History

Jizchak Kurt Lewy (1897-?) was an Israeli farmer of German descent. Together with his parents and his brother he had emigrated to Palestine as early as 1924. See Walk, J., Kurzbiographien zur Geschichte der Juden 1918-1945, Munich et.al., K. G. Saur, 1988, p. 233.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding an information request by Lewy for details about his father’s (Josef Lewy) activities as member of the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens (C.V.). Contained are a brief résumé of Josef Lewy as well as two transcripts of speeches given by him on a C.V. event in the early 1920s.
