Biographical History

Prof. Dr. Franz Landsberger (1883-1964) was a Jewish-German art historian. The friend of Leo Baeck and director of the Jewish Museum in Berlin was brought to Sachsenhausen concentration camp in 1938. A letter by The Wiener Library to introduce Annedore Leber, widow of anti-Nazi resistance fighter Julius Leber, to Landsberger.
