Biographical History

A Landgericht (LG) is a district court for ordinary jurisdiction in the federal states of Germany. As such, it serves as mid-level court for private and criminal law. The hearing of restitution cases as well as criminal proceedings of Nazi perpetrators are assigned to its remit.

A reply by The Wiener Library to an information request by the LG Hildesheim regarding the evacuation of a Polish Jew from the Soviet occupied part of Poland to the Soviet Union in 1941.
