Biographical History

A Landgericht (LG) is a district court for ordinary jurisdiction in the federal states of Germany. As such, it serves as mid-level court for private and criminal law. The hearing of restitution cases as well as criminal proceedings of Nazi perpetrators are assigned to its remit.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding information requests related to trials of Nazi perpetrators heard at the LG Dortmund. The requests concern the murder of Serbians, Sinti and Roma, and Jews in a camp in Sabac, and crimes committed in Czechoslovakia.
