Biographical History
Adolf Kurtz (1891-1975) was a German Protestant reverend and member of the Confessing Church. During the Nazi era he helped saving Christian converts from Judaism from persecution and deportation. After the war he served at a church in Oxford.
Scope and Content
Comprising handwritten and typewritten letters the correspondence concerns the exchange of materials and information. The latter regards Kurtz’ experiences during the Nazi era as well as his current activities. Contained is a detailed account by Kurtz about a meeting he had with Hermann Göring in 1934 (17.11.1959).
