Biographical History

Kurt Kersten (1891-1962) was a Jewish-German historian, journalist and author. He had survived the Holocaust under precarious conditions in exile. After the war he wrote for several journals.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding source material about the arrest of German social democratic politicians Rudolf Breitscheid and Rudolf Hilferding in France, and the latter’s death in the Gestapo prison in Paris.
