Biographical History
Max Katten (1892 -1957) was a liberal German rabbi from Bamberg. During the November pogrom he was arrested and interned in Dachau concentration camp. Upon his release he and his family emigrated to London in 1939. Later he became a lecturer at the Leo Baeck Institute.
