Biographical History

Dr Jenő (Eugen) Katai was a Hungarian Holocaust survivor. He and his wife apparently belonged to group of people who received protective documents from Swedish authorities, provided on initiative of diplomat Raul Wallenberg. They survived the war and emigrated to Brazil in 1955.

Scope and Content

Comprising handwritten and typewritten letters the correspondence concerns enquiries by Katai for books about the Holocaust and addresses of booksellers in London to order further material.
