Biographical History
Bernhard Kahn (1876-1955) was an international Jewish welfare worker. He had served as secretary of the Hilfsverein der deutschen Juden in Berlin, and as European director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Paris. Scope and Content
Correspondence with B. Kahn on his activities for the Hilfsverein, and expressions of condolences for D. Kahn after the passing of her husband. The latter contains a brief reflection by Alfred Wiener on when he first met B. Kahn.
