Biographical History

The Jüdische Gemeinschaft Montreux is the Jewish community of Montreux, Switzerland.

Scope and Content

Letters regarding 50 Swiss francs, donated by a J. Sternberg to the Montreux community. Originally, Alfred Wiener had transferred the money to Sternberg. It was a refund for the sum Sternberg provided Wiener’s children with, after they had been brought from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp to a recovery home in Switzerland in January 1945.
