Biographical History
Founded in Hamburg in 1950 the Jewish Trust Corporation for Germany (JTC) was an international organisation tasked with the pursue of restitution claims for heirless property of murdered persons and dissolved organisations in the post war era. Due to achieving its goals, JTC ended its operations in 1980.
Scope and Content
Correspondence mainly regarding restitution related information requests by the JTC and the lending of published and unpublished material from The Wiener Library. Particular reference can be made to the consignment of historical material to the Library including books formerly in possession of the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens (C.V).
