Biographical History

Dr Walter Jacobsen (1895-1986) was a German psychologist who had been related to anti-Nazi resistance groups in Hamburg. After the war he founded the Professional Association of German Psychologists, and worked as head of the psychology department in the West German Federal Agency for Civic Education from 1952-60.

Scope and Content

The correspondence focuses among other issues on the discussion of the current political atmosphere in West Germany, including the case of Hans Globke.
