Biographical History

Franz Heitgres (1906-1961) was a German leftwing politician and survivor of Neuengamme concentration camp. After the War he became the first chairman of the Association of Persecutees of the Nazi Regime in the British Zone, and was engaged as MP in the Senate of Hamburg with reparation and refugee issues.
