Biographical History

Klaus Harpprecht (1927-2016) was a German author and one of the most regarded (West) German journalists. Apparently he was well acquainted with Wiener Library staff member Lotte Loewenthal.

Scope and Content

Comprising two letters by Harpprecht the correspondence concerns efforts made by representatives of German churches to release German war criminals from French and American custody.
