Biographical History

Dr Wilhelm Harmelin was a Jewish-German lawyer and co-owner of an old fur trade business in Leipzig. After the Nazis came to power he had been imprisoned in Sachsenburg concentration camp for several months. In 1939 he emigrated to England.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding the exchange of certain source material, including Harmelin’s doctoral thesis from 1925. Contained is an excerpt from an English publication.
