Biographical History

Dr Rudolf Geiger (1873-1956) was a US-American lawyer of Jewish-German descent. Before emigrating in 1939, he had held high positions in the Jewish community of Frankfurt am Main as well as in the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens.

Scope and Content

The correspondence centres on a request by Alfred Wiener for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of the Memorbücher of the Jewish communities of Frankfurt am Main and Friedberg. Contained is a letter of condolence to his wife after Geiger’s passing.
