Biographical History
Dr Ismar Freund (1876-1956) was a German rabbi and historian. He had held a leading position in the Jewish community Berlin for more than three decades. After being imprisoned in Buchenwald concentration camp in the wake of the November Pogrom 1938 he emigrated to Palestine eventually.
