Biographical History

Recha Freier (born Schweitzer, 1892-1984) was a German-Israeli resistance fighter. She is most prominently known for founding the Youth Aliya organisation in 1933, saving thousands of Jewish kids from Nazi persecution.

The correspondence contains a letter regarding the scheduling of a meeting with Freier at The Wiener Library, and a memo on a legal confrontation Ruth Berlak, daughter of Leo Baeck, and Freier were involved.
