Biographical History

Maurice Frankenhuis (1894-1969) was a Dutch businessman, Holocaust survivor and collector of historical memorabilia. Despite being interned in several concentration camps he managed to secure his large collections of posters, coins and medals from the First and the Second World War.

Scope and Content

The correspondence centres on the exchange of published and unpublished material as well as the scheduling of meetings of Frankenhuis and Alfred Wiener. A memo of such a meeting is contained (1961). Furthermore, information requests by Frankenhuis on Adolf Eichmann, Albert Konrad Gemmeke, Otto Dibelius, and Wernher von Braun are contained.
