Biographical History
Established on instigation of the minister of interior of the city state West Berlin, the Forschungsgruppe Berliner Widerstand was a German research group on the subject of anti-Nazi resistance in Berlin.
Scope and Content
The correspondence documents The Wiener Library’s contribution to the work of the Forschungsgruppe, mainly by granting access to its holdings and by answering research related enquiries. Conversely, the Forschungssgruppe got involved in the Library’s eyewitness testimony project (1958), sent materials, and helped with some information requests by the Library. Contained are memos of meetings with Forschungssgruppe members on project details, a transcript of a radio feature, and a document list related to the Eichmann Trial.
