Biographical History

Theodor Fast was a member of the Tempelgesellschaft, a small Christian denomination from South-West Germany whose members had emigrated largely to Palestine in the 19th century. He had probably met Alfred Wiener during the latter’s travels to Palestine in the early 20th century.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding the post war reputation of the ‘Palestinian Germans’, i.e. members of the Tempelgesellschaft who had lived in Palestine. Contained is also a letter by Fast to Martin Buber, and a post card.
