Biographical History

Dr Mark Wischnitzer (1882-1955) was a U.S. American historian of Jewish-Russian descent. From 1921-38 he had served as director of the welfare organisation Hilfsverein der Deutschen Juden.

Scope and Content

The correspondence includes the exchange of published material, an information request by Wischnitzer on a certain individual, and, following his passing, a letter of condolence to his widow.
