Biographical History
Georg Weisenborn (1902-1969) was a German writer and a member of the ‘Red Orchestra’, a loose association of anti-Nazi resistance fighters. As such he had been imprisoned for high treason from 1942-45. After the war he worked as author, playwright and producer of documentaries.
Scope and Content
Correspondence regarding certain aspects of Weisenborn’s book Der lautlose Aufstand (‘The Silent Uprising’), including Jewish Anti-Nazi resistance, religious persecution (Kirchenkampf), and some of the cited sources. Contained is an advertisement leaflet.
