(ed.), Deutsche Biographische Enzyklopädie (DBE), vol. 10 (Thies-Zymalkowski), 2nd edition, Munich et.al., K. G. Saur, 2008, p. 412.
Scope and Content
The correspondence centres on antisemitic publications in which 'U.S. American capitalists' and especially members of the Warburg family are denigrated as alleged financiers of Hitler and the National Socialist movement. This refers to publications by Swiss antisemites René Sonderegger and Werner Zimmermann as well as to two articles in the West German daily press. Further subjects are the consignment of source material related to the Warburg family and applications by The Wiener Library for annual funding.
Containing only few letters to and from Eric Warburg the correspondence comprises primarily letters with other individuals. Contained are some press cuttings referring to the antisemitic publications.
