Biographical History

Herman Veit (1897-1973) was a German social democratic politician. Among other positions he had served as minister for economic affairs in state Baden-Württemberg.

Correspondence regarding a request by the Library for certain documents from the Baden-Württemberg State Parliament illustrating a critical speech by Veit on often mild judgments in German Nazi war crime trials.
