Biographical History

Bild und Heimat is a publishing house founded as ‘publicly owned enterprise’ (VEB) in East Germany in 1951. It was the country’s main publisher of postcards. Since 2010 its headquarters are located in Berlin.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding the purchase and receipt of three postcards showing the sites of former concentration camps Buchenwald, Ravensbrück, and Sachsenhausen. Contained are two custom related forms.
