Wilhelm Unger (1904-1985) was a Jewish-German author and theatre critic.
Scope and Content
Beside the establishment of a small 'Library of the German Language' in London (1952-1956) the correspondence focuses mainly on the involvement of Unger and Alfred Wiener in the establishment of the Germania Judaica in Cologne, a special library for the history of German Jews. Contained are a memo by Wiener on a meeting with Unger and Hans Jaeger, and fragments of a meeting on the German Language Library.
