Biographical History

Ilselotte Themal was a Jewish-German Holocaust survivor, who had survived in Berlin by adopting a false identity.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding Themal’s contribution to The Wiener Library’s eyewitness testimony project by sending an own account as well as interviewing others. Further correspondence with her husband Rolf Themal, a Berlin official regarded with restitution issues of former racial persecutees, about the options of receiving further testimonies.
