Biographical History

The World Union for Progressive Judaism was founded in London in 1926 to establish a presence where there was a demand to renew or establish a commitment to the contemporary expression of the Jewish religion. The first convention took place in Berlin in 1928 with the aim to unite all the disparate progressive groups.

Scope and Content

General correspondence on various minor issues, including the WUPJ’s membership at The Wiener Library or a dinner on occassion of Leo Baeck's 80th birthday.
