Biographical History

Eugen Strauss (1879-1965) was a British lawyer of Jewish-German origin. He campaigned in several Jewish organisations, including the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens (C.V.). Moreover, Strauss served as chairman of the Jewish community in Augsburg until he emigrated to England in 1939. See Walk, J., Kurzbiographien zur Geschichte der Juden 1918-1945, Munich et.al., K. G. Scope and Content

Correspondence on various subjects, including a research project, aspects of the organisation of the Jewish community Augsburg in the 1930s, and also the celebration of Strauss's 80th birthday.
