Biographical History

Heinemann Stern (1878-1957) was a German teacher and board member of several Jewish organisations including the Centralverein deutscher Staatsbürger jüdischen Glaubens (C.V.) where he had become acquainted with Alfred Wiener. Scope and Content

Correspondence mainly with Alfed Wiener on various subjects including: their shared early years in Berlin working for the C.V. Zeitung; life in Brazil; an essay by Stern "Jews and New Christians in Brazil"; and Stern's autobiography. Mentioned is also correspondence between Stern and former pupils of his describing their life as emigres.
