Biographical History
Dr Eleonore Sterling (born Oppenheimer; 1925-1968) was a Jewish-German political scientist who was sent to the United States as a child in 1938. Her parents were murdered in the Holocaust. Sterling returned to live in Germany as an academic after the Second World War.
Scope and Content
Correspondence on various subjects including a research project into early anti-Semitism in Germany; the consignment of a third person eyewitness account and further involvement as interviewer for the Library’s eyewitness testimony project, and generally the exchange of materials.
