Biographical History
Dr Friedrich Karl von Siebold was a German diplomat in the Foreign Ministry (postwar). From 1955-63 he served as mayor of the town of Badenweiler.
Scope and Content
Comprising handwritten and typewritten letters the correspondence deals with various subjects including: the exchange of published materials on different current affairs; a libel case of former SS man Otto Skorzeny; the case Otto John, head of the domestic intelligence service of West Germany; the idea of an event to honor writer Annette Kolb; the donation of Siebold’s private archive of published material about the Foreign ministry. Contained are postcards, press cuttings, excerpts from newspapers.
