Biographical History

Adolf Schoyer (1872-1961) was a German Jewish industrialist, leader of the Berlin Jewish Orthodox community, and chairman of the Association of Jewish Refugees. The B'nai B'rith member Schoyer was well acquainted with Alfred Wiener.

Scope and Content

Correspondence on a variety of subjects including among others: the resettlement of Jews from East Germany in the West in the aftermath of the Slánský trial in Czechoslovakia 1952; a talk given by Wiener in the Jewish community Berlin (West); B'nai B'rith business; support of The Wiener Library’s eyewitness testimony project; and personal matters.
