Biographical History
Paul Schallück (1922-1976) was a German writer and co-founder of the Germania Judaica, a Cologne based special library for the history of German Jews. He was also involved in Christian-Jewish relations.
Scope and Content
Correspondence regarding the establishment of the Germania Judaica; his work as a writer; and a visit of The Wiener Library by Schallück and a talk given by him on this occasion. Contained are a telegram, a press cutting, several transcripts of radio features by Schallück and letters by other individuals, and two prints related with the Leo Baeck Prize, donated by the Central Council of Jews in Germany.
