Biographical History

Prof. Dr. Carl August Rathjens (1887-1966) was a German geographer specialized on Arabian regions. For having tried to help a Jewish colleague to flee Nazi Germany he had been briefly arrested in 1940.

Correspondence and biographical account of Carl Rathjens from his jouney to Saudi Arabia in 1927 until the end of World War Two.
