Biographical History

Ernst Nolte (1923-2016) was a controversial German historian and philospoher best known for his work Der Faschismus in seiner Epoche published in 1963. He later became embroiled in the West German Historikerstreit in the late 1980s.

Scope and Content

Correspondence regarding Ernst Nolte's ideas on Fascism, Antisemitism and Adolf Hitler, but also on certain Wiener Library holdings; further an undated footnoted essay by Ernst Nolte entitled "Eine Frühe Quelle zu Hitlers Antisemitismus".
