Wolfgang Müller had been a colonel in the Wehrmacht. As a Nazi opponent he was involved in the July plot in 1944. After the war Müller campaigned for German and European organisations of former resistance fighters or persecutees.

The correspondence centres on the mutual consignment of published and unpublished material, including a transcript of a presentation Müller gave at an international resistance fighter conference. Furthermore, The Wiener Library requests his assistance in compiling further reports for the institution’s eyewitness testimony project. The correspondence falsly containes a letter to Evangelic publicist Erich Müller-Gangloff.
