Biographical History

The Northampton Hostel for Evacuated Jewish Children catered for the needs of orthodox Jews. It was run by Isadore Marx, who had previously run a Jewish orphanage in Frankfurt am Main. Richard Savinson was one of the boys who stayed at the hostel between 1942 and 1944.
