Biographical History
Max Wolff (1883-1952) born in Leszno, Poland (formerly Lissa, Germany, moved to Breslau and trained to be a lawyer and became a senior legal adviser. His uncle, Eduard Wolff, had been a lawyer, government official and head representative of the local Jewish community. He escaped Germany wth his wife in 1937 and arrived in London on the day after the Novemberpogrom having come via Switzerland, Prague and Rotterdam.
