Biographical History
Sergeant C.C. Warmer, father of the donor, served in the British army during WWII, in the Durham Light Infantry. As the administrative officer to the Commanding Officer, he went to Belsen on the third day after the British Forces took control of the camp. Whilst there he accumulated a number of documents and photographs which are evidence of the atrocities which were commited there. He also met and became friends with Anita Lasker-Wallfisch, the Cellist and member of the Auschwitz orchestra.
