Copy partial letter from a German girl on labour service in Austria showing the terrible conditions endured by worker
A note from Alfred Wiener accompanying the document, 20 May 1940, states that the girl is German; "the letter is absolutely authentic, the original being in our hands"; the names of the people and places mentioned and some minor details have been altered or left out "for obvious reasons
