Amtsgericht (District Court) of Liberec
Extent and Medium
38,45 linear meters
Acquisition
The documents were deposited in the registry office of the Amtsgericht (District Court), and, after the war, in the building of the District Court Liberec. From there they were, in 1967, transferred to a branch of the State Regional Archives in Jablonec nad Nisou. In 1984 and 1986, they were handed over to the District Archives in Liberec, and in October 1986 they were completed with documents from the company register moved from the State Regional Archives Litoměřice. The fonds was arranged in 1988.
Scope and Content
The fonds includes judicial files - files of the company register with prior documents since the second half of the 19th century, the records of termination of companies after 1945, and materials concerning forced auctions and forced administration. System of Arrangement
The material is divided into: I. Auxiliary books, and II. Files arranged by the original file series: files of undisputed civil cases, files of civil disputed cases, criminal agenda, and company register. They are divided in more detail by file labels. Some of these agendas, even though being stored in an archive, have not been processed yet because of long appraisal periods, and are not accessible (e.g. undisputed cases).
Conditions Governing Reproduction
Most of the documents (20,15) is not arranged and is inaccessible.
